Natural Disasters

Preparedness, Response, and Resilience!

Natural events, such as earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, and wildfires, are unpredictable events that can cause widespread destruction and impact communities in profound ways. At Umiya Parivar, we are committed to raising awareness about the importance of preparedness, providing support during emergencies, and fostering resilience in the aftermath of such disasters.

Our Commitment

  • Education and Awareness: We strive to educate our community about the risks associated with different types of natural calamities, the importance of disaster preparedness, and the steps that can be taken to minimize damage and ensure safety.

  • Disaster Preparedness: We provide resources and training to help individuals and families prepare for natural disasters, including creating emergency kits, developing evacuation plans, and understanding warning systems.

  • Emergency Response: During times of crisis, we mobilize resources to provide immediate relief, including food, water, shelter, and medical assistance to those affected by natural calamities.

  • Community Resilience: After a disaster, we focus on helping communities rebuild and recover, offering support for mental health, housing, and rebuilding infrastructure. We also work to strengthen community resilience against future disasters through education and planning.
