Umiya Mataji Idol

Umiya Mataji History

Umiya Mata holds a sacred place in the hearts of millions of Kadva Patidars worldwide. She is revered as the consort of Lord Shivashankar and the beloved daughter of Parvatraj Daksha. As the embodiment of Shakti—the ultimate source of power—Umiya Mata is also honored as the nurturing mother of Lord Ganesha.

The name Umiya originates from "Uma," signifying "Mother." Her divine presence is celebrated in her grand temple in Unjha, Gujarat, where devotees from around the globe come to offer prayers and seek blessings.

Umiya Mata is worshipped in various forms, with her manifestation as Parvati being the most prominent. She is also venerated as Nav Chandi or Nav Durga, representing her nine dynamic and powerful aspects. For her devotees, she is not just a goddess but a symbol of guidance, protection, and inspiration, deeply rooted in their cultural and spiritual heritage.
