As the embodiment of Shakti—the ultimate source of power—Umiya Mata is also honored as the nurturing mother of Lord Ganesha.
The name Umiya originates from "Uma," signifying "Mother." Her divine presence is celebrated in her grand temple in Unjha, Gujarat, where devotees from around the globe come to offer prayers and seek blessings.
